LOS ANGELES, March 22 (UPI) -- British soccer star David Beckham, who currently plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy, says he is passionate about his growing number of tattoos.

The 32-year-old said he has received 15 tattoos in his life, ranging from a set of cherubs to a likeness of his famous wife, Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, and the body art is his way of expressing his emotions, People magazine reported.

"I think everybody's got a way of expressing their feelings, and mine is through my tattoos," Beckham said.

The three young angels tattooed on the Galaxy star's right arm represent his three sons Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo.

Beckham, who reportedly could purchase a Major League Soccer team when his current contract expires in 2011, also commented on the upcoming MLS season.

"The new MLS season is less than two weeks away and I'm really looking forward to the first game against Colorado Rapids," he said. "This is my first full season with the Galaxy, so obviously I want to stay fit and play as many games as possible this year."
