LOS ANGELES, March 13 (UPI) -- A date with Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson auctioned off on eBay has raised more than $40,000 for charity, a published report said Thursday.

Johansson is best known for her roles in "Girl with a Pearl Earring" and "Lost in Translation." She can now be seen in the period film "The Other Boleyn Girl."

"Access Hollywood" said the 21-year-old actress put herself on the auction block to raise money for the Oxfam relief organization.

The winning bidder, who lives in England, paid $40,100 to escort Johansson to the premiere of her upcoming movie "He's Just Not That Into You," MSNBC.com said.
