Mary Ann from 'Gilligan's Island' on probation

DRIGGS, Idaho, March 12 (UPI) -- The actress who played Mary Ann on the U.S. sit-com "Gilligan's Island" was arrested after police pulled her over and allegedly found marijuana in her car.

Dawn Wells, 69, was pulled over in Teton County, Idaho, for allegedly swerving and repeatedly speeding up and slowing down after her birthday party last October, TMZ.com reported Tuesday.

Police said they recovered four half-smoked joints, as well as two small cases used to store marijuana, when they searched her vehicle, the report said.

Wells is said to have claimed the items were not hers but belonged to hitchhikers.

The actress pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving and was sentenced last month to five days in jail, fined $410.50 and placed on six months unsupervised probation, TMZ.com said.

Idaho's KIDK.com said Wells was initially charged with Driving While Intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance but those charges were dropped in exchange for the reckless driving guilty plea.

Jacobson not happy about 'L&O' episode

CHICAGO, March 12 (UPI) -- A Chicago reporter fired after she went to a subject's house in a bikini said she doesn't think it's funny "Law & Order" appears to be referencing her story.

In an episode of the long-running NBC series that was to air Wednesday night, Lara Flynn Boyle guest stars as an ambitious reporter "who uses her sexuality to try to break the case," the show's Web site said.

"I don't find any humor in this at all," Amy Jacobson, who was fired last year from NBC-owned WMAQ-Channel 5, told the Chicago Sun-Times.

Jacobson was taped by a rival news team wearing a bathing suit to the home of Craig Stebic, whose wife, Lisa, had been missing for months, the newspaper said.

When questioned, Jacobson insisted she was taking her two children swimming on her day off when she got a call to go to Stebic's house for a poolside chat.

The still-unemployed Jacobson said she has no plans to watch the "Law & Order" episode.

"It's just another reminder of the high price I had to pay for trying to do my job," she told the Sun-Times. "Hollywood takes things like this out of context all the time."

Federline may be heading to Broadway

NEW YORK, March 12 (UPI) -- U.S. tabloid figure Kevin Federline reportedly is considering joining the cast of the Broadway musical "Legally Blonde" in September.

The aspiring hip-hop artist and actor is best known for his high-profile relationships with pop singer Britney Spears and actress Shar Jackson. Federline has two young children with each.

A source told Usmagazine.com that if Federline decides to do the show he would appear in three supporting roles, including the UPS delivery man who inspires the "bend and snap" flirting technique.

"This is his chance to show the world what he can do," a friend told the magazine.

Federline, who has physical custody of his two young sons with Spears, may take the boys with him to New York.

"This is his dream and he wants to bring the kids," the insider said. "Jamie and Lynne (Spears) promised to help him make it work."

A representative for the musical said Federline isn't scheduled to appear in the show "as of this time."

Teen sets Guinness record for Guitar Hero

NEW YORK, March 12 (UPI) -- A 16-year-old boy from Rochester, Minn. has set the Guinness World Record for "Highest Score for a Single Song on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock."

Chris Chike earned 840,647 points, a 97 percent completion on Expert Level, for the song "Through the Fire and Flames" by DragonForce, Guinness said.

To mark the launch of the inaugural "Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2008," Guitar Hero players convened in New York City for a jam session.

Chike walked away from the event with the new world record.

"Chris's accomplishments are nothing short of amazing," said Guinness World Records judge Doug Parsons, who was on hand to certify the attempt. "Guitar Hero is one of the hottest games on the market and the speed and accuracy showed by Chris today truly cements his spot as gaming royalty."

Kai Huang, co-founder of RedOctane, creators of the Guitar Hero franchise said in a statement: "The Guitar Hero franchise has created a phenomenon that has swept the world creating loyal and passionate fans of all ages. It is an honor to be a part of this exciting event and we congratulate Chris on a fantastic accomplishment that is worthy of a Guinness World Record."
