NEW YORK, March 11 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Paul Giamatti said he was happy to reunite with his previous co-star Laura Linney on the HBO miniseries "John Adams."
Best known for his roles in "Shoot 'Em Up," "Cinderella Man" and "Sideways," Giamatti also appeared in "The Nanny Diaries" alongside Linney.
"It was great," Giamatti told UPI about working with Linney a second time. "We were married in both of them, but they were different marriages. She was great. I was really happy that she was going to be doing (the miniseries.) It was nice, too, somebody I knew and had worked with before was going to be doing this part (of Abigail) because she's kind of the most important person in the thing, in a way. She was great."
Asked how ambitious a project "John Adams" is, Giamatti told reporters in New York, "Pretty ambitious. ...
"There were a couple of hundred parts in it. Everybody's in that thing," he said last summer, shortly after he finished the miniseries. "It's a huge epic thing that they wanted to do and I think they may have pulled it off. It could be the most boring thing anybody's ever seen, but I think they pulled it off."
