LOS ANGELES, March 10 (UPI) -- U.S. filmmaker Neil Marshall reportedly plans to follow up his new movie "Doomsday" with "Sacrilege," a horror flick set in the Old West.

"It is set during the Gold Rush, a time remembered for incidents like the Donner Party," Marshall told Variety.com. "This is 'Unforgiven' by way of H.P. Lovecraft, with that grim, gritty setting and a horror element nobody has seen before."

Marshall previously wrote and directed "Dog Soldiers," "The Descent" and "Doomsday."

"I've always got a few irons in the fire, but this has long been an ambition of mine," Marshall said.

Variety.com said Rogue Pictures, the genre division of Focus Features that made "Doomsday," has already signed Marshall to write and direct "Sacrilege."
