BURBANK, Calif., March 9 (UPI) -- The WB will soon be resurrected as a Web site, providing past episodes of the defunct U.S. TV network's most popular series.

The move by Warner Bros. Television Group would allow WB fans a chance to watch streaming episodes of such WB-produced hits as "Gilmore Girls" and "Everwood," The Hollywood Reporter reported Sunday.

Sources said WB.com would be supported through paid advertisements.

It remains unclear whether other top WB series produced by outside studios would be available on the new Web site.

During The WB's 1995-2006 run, the network enjoyed moderate success with other studios' series such as "Dawson's Creek," "Felicity" and "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer."

There also was no word whether streaming episodes from series on The CW, The WB's successor, would be made available on the Internet site.

The Reporter said a beta launch of the site is scheduled for next month, offering each available series episode in 10 five-minute installments.
