LOS ANGELES, March 7 (UPI) -- Seth Rogen reportedly is set to star in "Observe and Report," the second comedy film about a mall security guard that Hollywood currently has in the works.
Kevin James has signed on to headline the similarly themed, but more family-friendly "Mall Cop."
Both films are slated to begin shooting next month, Variety.com said.
Rogen's movie was written and will be directed by Jody Hill, whose credits include the forthcoming "Foot Fist Way."
"Observe and Report" will follow the exploits of an arrogant head of mall security who challenges local police over jurisdiction, the trade paper said.
Rogen has starred in "Knocked Up" and "Superbad."
James is best known for his roles in the film "Hitch" and on the TV comedy "The King of Queens."
