LOS ANGELES, March 5 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles County Court commissioner extended Jamie Spears' conservatorship over his daughter Britney until July 31, TMZ.com reported.
Citing unnamed sources, the entertainment news Web site said the conservatorship could end earlier if the pop singer's mental health improves and her behavior stabilizes.
Jamie Spears has been looking out for his daughter's safety, and personal and financial interests since Feb. 1, when he and Andrew Wallet were appointed as temporary co-conservators.
The recording artist, 26, was hospitalized twice this year for psychiatric treatment, then temporarily lost all rights to visit her two young children.
She recently regained the right to see her toddler sons during supervised visits.
