LOS ANGELES, March 3 (UPI) -- Actress Jeri Ryan, the "Star Trek: Voyager" veteran who now stars in the TV drama "Shark," reportedly has given birth to a baby girl in Los Angeles.

Gisele Eme was born Sunday in Los Angeles and weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces, People.com reported Monday.

She is the first child for Ryan and her French chef husband Christophe Eme.

"Both parents are thrilled," Ryan's spokesman David Lust told the magazine. "Jeri is resting comfortably and Christophe is playing the part of proud new papa quite well."

Ryan and Eme married last June and own the Los Angeles restaurant Ortolan together, the magazine noted.

The actress also has a 13-year-old son, Alex, from a previous relationship.
