LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Hollywood's "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins" and "Night at the Museum II: Escape From the Smithsonian" are reportedly set to hit theaters the same day.
The potential blockbusters are both slated to debut May 22, 2009, even though much of the rest of the 2009 summer movie release season is open at this point, Variety.com reported.
"Museum" is a sequel to the 2006 adventure-comedy starring Ben Stiller. In the first film, Stiller played a Museum of Natural History night security guard who realizes the exhibits where he works come to life when the sun goes down.
"Terminator" is the fourth big-screen entry in the sci-fi franchise. The film, which stars Christian Bale as adult hero John Connor, is expected to be the first in a three-picture arc, Variety.com said.
