LONDON, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Britain's Prince William apparently is so frustrated with the paparazzi's relentless pursuit of his girlfriend, he is considering legal action.
With the celebrity photographers routinely following Kate Middleton wherever she goes, attorneys for Prince William have warned their activities could be grounds for future legal action, The Daily Telegraph said Saturday.
Lawyer Gerald Tyrrell, who represents both William and Middleton, has sent a protest letter to the Press Complaints Commission to ensure the photographers follow the industry's harassment code.
That code states journalists are not allowed to harass or intimidate individuals, including actions such as persistent pursuits or photographing.
Commission Director Tim Toulmin said all British tabloids have claimed they don't employ such photographers, but he said action could be taken if violations are discovered in the future.
"The board of the commission discussed the matter at its last meeting," Toulmin said. "It has said it will take things further if and when it receives any evidence."
