Carter arrested for alleged pot possession

JUNCTION, Texas, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Pop singer, actor and reality TV star Aaron Carter has been arrested in Texas for alleged marijuana possession.

People.com said Carter, 20, was arrested for investigation of marijuana possession Thursday afternoon after he was stopped by police for speeding in Junction, Texas.

Kimble County Sheriff Mike Chapman told the magazine marijuana was found in Carter's Cadillac Escalade and nobody else was in the vehicle.

Carter has starred in the reality series "House of Carters" and appeared on TV shows like "7th Heaven" and "Lizzie McGuire." He is the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter.
