Man pleads guilty to threatening Korn

SACRAMENTO, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- A Sacramento man has pleaded guilty in U.S. court to threatening on the Internet to kill members of the rock band Korn.

Adrian McCoy faces up to five years in prison when he is sentenced April 25, KERO-TV in Bakersfield, Calif., reported Wednesday.

Prosecutors told the court that McCoy threatened to slit the band members' throats and kill their families.

However, McCoy's lawyer maintained his client was taking medication for mental issues.

Korn is on tour in Europe and couldn't be reached to comment on the case, KERO-TV said.
