12.7M watch 'Knight Rider' sequel

BURBANK, Calif., Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Hollywood's NBC television network said an estimated 12.7 million people tuned in to see its "Knight Rider" TV movie when it debuted Sunday night.

The two-hour flick was a follow-up to the iconic 1980s TV series of the same name.

The new movie starred Justin Bruening, Deanna Russo, Sydney Tamiia Poitier and Bruce Davison, while Val Kilmer lent his voice to KITT the talking car.
