BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Dozens of cinema's biggest stars plan to attend the upcoming 80th Academy Awards telecast in Hollywood, organizers said Thursday.

Oscar show producer Gil Cates and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Sid Ganis announced the names of presenters and performers two days after the Writers Guild of America ended their three-month-long strike.

Until the strike was declared over, it was unclear if the WGA would picket the event or if any celebrities would cross the line to get inside the gala.

Among those scheduled to attend the Feb. 24 show are last year's top winners Alan Arkin, Jennifer Hudson, Helen Mirren and Forest Whitaker, as well as Amy Adams, Jessica Alba, Cate Blanchett, Josh Brolin, Steve Carell, George Clooney, Penelope Cruz, Miley Cyrus, Patrick Dempsey, Cameron Diaz, Colin Farrell, Harrison Ford, Jennifer Garner, Tom Hanks, Anne Hathaway, Katherine Heigl, Jonah Hill, Dwayne Johnson, Nicole Kidman, James McAvoy, Queen Latifah, Seth Rogen, Martin Scorsese, Hilary Swank, John Travolta, Denzel Washington and Renee Zellweger.

Jon Stewart was previously announced as the event's host.
