Spears, the 16-year-old star of TV's "Zoey 101" and sister of pop singer Britney Spears, announced in December that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Casey Aldridge.
"We've actually been talking," Cyrus, 15, told Usmagazine.com in Los Angeles last weekend. "She's now really excited, so I'm proud of her. ... I think she's done the best she can."
Since making the bombshell announcement about her pregnancy late last year, Spears has been keeping a low profile in Kentwood, La.
Cyrus is a pop singer and the star of TV's "Hannah Montana."
