MIAMI, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Rocker Lenny Kravitz, who was hospitalized in Miami earlier this week for bronchitis and exhaustion, reportedly has postponed his upcoming European tour.

Kravitz, 43, was to perform in London and Brussels next week and play gigs throughout Europe into March, NME.com reported Wednesday.

"I would like to apologize to my fans in Europe," Kravitz said in a statement. "I am extremely disappointed that I am not able to come to Europe to see everyone and also perform. Unfortunately, I need to take this time to rest and get healthy and so I was forced to make this decision."

The European gigs are expected to be rescheduled and announced soon, NME.com said.
