LOS ANGELES, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Movie star Jack Black has signed on to supervise the mayhem at Nickelodeon's upcoming 21st Annual Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
The child-friendly event, in which attendees are frequently slimed by green goo, is to take place March 29 at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion.
Black, who starred in "King Kong," "School of Rock" and "Shallow Hal," was also the host of the 2006 edition of the prize presentation, where kids honor their favorites from the worlds of film, music, sports and television.
"We couldn't be happier that Jack is back," Nickelodeon's Marjorie Cohn said in a statement. "Kids adore Jack, and his energy and unpredictability are a perfect fit for KCA. Last year's 20th milestone show broke records, but with Jack's energy and unpredictability we're expecting more surprises and more slime than ever before."
"I had a ball hosting The Kids' Choice Awards, and I'm gearing up big-time to 'take charge' of the chaos and mess again this year," added Black. "I have a lot of secret plans, and I hope to give as good as I get when it comes to good, clean, slimy-green fun."
Kids will be able to cast their votes online starting March 3.
