LOS ANGELES, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Recording artists Mary J. Blige and Jay-Z Thursday announced plans to co-headline a 25-date North American concert tour.

Blige and Jay-Z have sold a combined 70 million albums and earned 12 Grammy Awards between them.

Live Nation, which is producing the show with Haymon Events, said the "Mary J. Blige & JAY-Z: Heart of the City" tour marks the first time in more than 15 years an African-American male/female pairing of this stature has co-headlined a national concert tour.

The tour is set to kick off March 22 at Miami's American Airlines Arena.

It will include dates in Los Angeles; New Orleans; Houston; Las Vegas and Oakland, Calif. The tour is also set to visit Baltimore; Uniondale, N.Y.; East Rutherford, N.J.; Philadelphia; Toronto; Boston; Greensboro, N.C.; and Washington.
