LOS ANGELES, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- New Line Cinema said all eight scheduled dates on Will Ferrell's U.S. "Funny or Die Comedy Tour" have sold out.

The tour, which was designed to support Ferrell's upcoming movie "Semi-Pro," began Monday at Kansas State University, and included stops at Michigan State University Tuesday and Ohio State University Wednesday.

More than 60,000 tickets have been sold for the shows, which team Ferrell up with comedians Zach Galifianakis, Demetri Martin and Nick Swardson for evenings of innovative stand-up comedy, as well as exclusive video clips from FunnyorDie.com and the upcoming basketball comedy "Semi-Pro," New Line said.

The troupe is to perform at Penn State University, University of Rhode Island, Boston College, UNC Chapel Hill and Radio City Music Hall in New York this month, as well.

The movie is set to open Feb. 29.
