NEW YORK, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Star Jones' daily U.S. talk show has reportedly been canceled, but Jones is not out of a job.
The move to drop the show comes as Court TV is being transformed into truTV, the New York Post reported Friday.
"Star will continue as a contributing legal expert to our weekday trial coverage. We appreciate the work she has contributed over the last few months and look forward to the next phase of our relationship," the network said in a statement.
However, a source at truTV told the newspaper the network "decided to go in a different direction."
"TruTV is not Court TV. It's tabloidy. They wanted to dumb down her show. When (Jones) refused, they put no promotion behind it," The Insider said.
Jones previously spent years as a panelist on the multi-host ABC daytime chat show "The View."
