'Dinner for Five' celebrates 50th episode

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Netflix has joined forces with the Independent Film Channel, and U.S. actors Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau, for a special 50th episode of "Dinner for Five."

Inspired by the famed literary Algonquin Roundtable, the now-defunct show seated four luminaries and host Favreau at a table each episode, to share a meal and discuss the entertainment industry.

The series aired on IFC from 2001 to 2005.

The 50th episode features Favreau and Vaughn, as well as Peter Billingsley, Justin Long and Keir O'Donnell, who appear in "Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days and 30 Nights -- Hollywood to the Heartland," which opens in U.S. theaters Feb. 8.

The 50th episode is set to premiere Friday night on IFC and will be available to Netflix subscribers as streaming video on Netflix.com starting Monday.

It will be available beginning Thursday at IFC.com.

"It was nice to be a part of the 50th episode of 'Dinner for Five,'" Vaughn said in a statement. "It's a great place to discuss film and I'm thankful to Netflix and IFC for their support."
