NEW YORK, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Data in an Emergency Medical Service dispatch report indicates actor Heath Ledger's body was still warm when paramedics arrived at his New York apartment.

A log entry in the emergency report said that when paramedics examined Ledger's body last week in his apartment, the "Brokeback Mountain" star's torso was still warm to the touch, the New York Post reported Sunday.

"Torso is warm," the log entry reads.

The comment reportedly was documented from a 911 phone call from Ledger's masseuse, Diane Lee Wolozin, who called police last Tuesday after finding the actor.

Emergency officials said the human body typically stays warm for nearly 20 minutes after death, meaning Ledger likely had died shortly before being discovered.

The Post said that news is troubling since Wolozin did not call 911 immediately, instead choosing to call actress Mary-Kate Olsen.

"Every second counts," an unidentified emergency medical technician said of that decision. "But it's extremely hard to judge. Could it have helped? Could it have helped if she did CPR? Maybe."
