SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Canadian sex symbol Pamela Anderson and NBA star Shawn Marion are set to preside over a pre-Super Bowl charity poker fundraiser, organizers of the event said.

The Hearts and Helmets party and poker tournament is slated to take place Wednesday at The Venue of Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Expected to attend are players from the Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs, celebrities, philanthropists and sports fans from all over the world, organizers said.

The net proceeds from the event are expected to go to a dozen charities, including the National Police Activities/Athletic League, PETA, Brad Pitt's Global Green USA Project for Rebuilding New Orleans, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Fournier Center for Empowerment, Free Arts of Arizona, ICAN International Center Advocacy Network, the Shawn Marion Foundation and others.
