Keillor, neighbor settle garage dispute

ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 23 (UPI) -- A dispute between radio personality Garrison Keillor and a neighbor in St. Paul, Minn., regarding a new garage reportedly has been settled out of court.

The parties negotiated the settlement Monday during a mediation session with former Minnesota Supreme Court justice Edward Stringer, the Star Tribune reported Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, the Minneapolis newspaper said.

The two sides went into mediation after Keillor and his wife sued last week to prevent their neighbor, Lori Anderson, from building a two-story, three-stall garage and studio behind her house -- just several feet away from Keillor's home.

In light of the pact made Monday, the lawsuit is expected to be dismissed, Josh Knudsen, a clerk for Ramsey County District Judge Edward Cleary, told the Star Tribune.

Keillor is an author and the host of Minnesota Public Radio's "A Prairie Home Companion."
