PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Comcast has inaugurated a new Web site, Fancast.com, intended to provide users with entertainment from a variety of sources.

The site gives users the option of accessing entertainment from cable, satellite, Internet, Netflix, Blockbuster, Amazon or iTunes, The Chicago Sun Times reported.

"Comcast has always been in the business of connecting people with their entertainment through the cable box," said Fancast Manager Alix Cottrell. "We wanted to continue that relationship as people moved to watch TV in other places, including the Internet and mobile phones."

Fancast claims to let viewers know about shows they can watch on rival TV providers' channels as well as its own.
