LAS VEGAS, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- U.S. film actress Christina Ricci, who is due back on the big screen in "Speed Racer," admits a newfound love of gambling.
The 27-year-old actress, who will play Trixie in the upcoming action flick, says that following a recent visit to Australia, she quickly grew fascinated with gambling in its many forms, People magazine reported Friday.
"I've learned to love gambling," Ricci said during a visit to the U.S. gambling capital of Las Vegas. "I was in Australia for a few months and gambling is like a national pastime there, so I learned to love betting on horses, and now I even put in a few football bets, and I'm kind of obsessed and into it. Gambling is pretty good."
Based on her Las Vegas visit, she enjoys blackjack but is admittedly bad when it comes to horse racing.
"I have no strategy (with horses) and I never pick winners," the actress told People. "But it's still fun."
