Winehouse attends hubby's court hearing

LONDON , Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse attended a court hearing where she declared her love for her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

The appearance at the proceeding contradicts recent rumors claiming Winehouse and Fielder-Civil are splitting up.

Fielder-Civil is in jail awaiting trial for alleged witness tampering and assault.

Winehouse showed up late to a packed courtroom at London's Snaresbrook Crown Court for a hearing Thursday in the case, Usmagazine.com reported Friday.

The singer sat down with her mother-in-law, Georgette, and held her hand, a witness told the magazine.

"She was quiet at first, but then Amy blew kisses at Blake and started whispering 'I love you' over and over," the source said, adding Winehouse shouted: "I love you, handsome! Gorgeous, I love you!" as her husband was being taken back to jail.

Fielder-Civil was reportedly overheard asking Winehouse, "All right, baby?" to which she responded with a smile and a nod.

Winehouse refused to answer questions as she left the building.
