LOS ANGELES, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Hollywood actors Kirk Acevedo, Tomas Arana and Mark Valley are set to co-star in the $10 million pilot for "Fringe," J.J. Abrams' new sci-fi television drama.
Acevedo has starred in the TV shows "Oz" and "The Black Donnellys," Arana acted in the film "Gladiator" and Valley appeared on the TV series "Boston Legal."
The Hollywood Reporter said Abrams' Bad Robot production company and Warner Bros. Television are producing the two-hour Fox pilot of "Fringe," to be helmed by "Journeyman" and "The West Wing" director Alex Graves.
Writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci -- whose credits include "Transformers, and who previously worked with Abrams on "Alias" -- are collaborating with Abrams on "Fringe," described as the story of an FBI agent who works with an institutionalized scientists to try to explain unexplained phenomena.
