LAS VEGAS, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Famed U.S. comedian Don Rickles has signed on for a series of performances at The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

He is slated to kick off his 49th year there by performing at The Orleans March 20 through 23 and July 31 through Aug. 3.

"It's great to be working at The Orleans. Now if they would just put the word 'New' in front of that, I could have a Mardi Gras in my suite," Rickles quipped in a statement.

"The staff of The Orleans is thrilled to have Don Rickles return to one of the Boyd Gaming properties in Las Vegas," said Terry Jenkins, corporate director of entertainment for the Boyd Gaming Corporation. "After his long run at the legendary Stardust Resort and Casino, Don is back home again with Boyd Gaming."
