NASHVILLE , Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Representatives for Faith Hill said the U.S. country music star is recuperating after knee surgery.
The operation was conducted to treat a high-school softball injury, aggravated by years of wear and tear.

Despite her recent medical condition, however, Hill is still preparing to take part in the upcoming MusiCares Aretha Franklin Tribute and is working on a Christmas album due out later this year.
"Who has time to slow down?" Hill said in a statement released Wednesday. "Doctors had told me to stay off my feet for a bit and now I'm following their rehab program. I intend to be back better and stronger."
