NEW YORK, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Recording artists 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Timbaland and Wyclef Jean are reportedly caught in the middle of a New York steroid investigation.

The singers and actor Tyler Perry allegedly ordered steroids or human growth hormone from doctors and pharmacists targeted in a probe headed by Albany County District Attorney David Soares, the Albany Times Union reported.

"Mary J. Blige has never taken any performance-enhancing illegal steroids," Blige's representative, Karynne Tencer, told the New York Daily News.

Authorities have found no evidence suggesting Blige, nor Timbaland, Jean, 50 Cent or Perry -- who could not be reached for comment -- violated any drug laws, the Daily News said.
