WASHINGTON, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress and Golden Globe nominee Glenn Close is featured in a new series of spots for the National Milk Mustache "got milk?" Campaign.

Close, who stars on the TV drama "Damages," is a five-time Oscar nominee and three-time Tony Award winner.

Her ad Thursday helped kick off a new initiative called "The Campaign for Healthy Weight."

The new campaign encourages women to focus on simple, lifelong changes to promote health and weight management, the team behind the campaign said in a statement.

The copy for Close's ad reads: "Look Close. To perform my best, I need to give my body the attention it deserves. That's why I eat right, exercise and drink milk. Studies suggest the nutrients in three glasses of lowfat or fat-free milk a day can help you maintain a healthy weight. And the protein helps build muscle for a lean body. You'll see."
