LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles County deputy medical examiner said the exact cause of the death of rapper Kanye West's mother couldn't be determined.
Educator and author Donda West died after undergoing breast reduction and liposuction surgery Nov. 9 in Brentwood, Calif.
Louis A. Pena, a deputy medical examiner, noted in his autopsy report that Donda West "died from some pre-existing coronary artery disease and multiple postoperative factors," including evidence of pneumonia possibly caused by aspirated vomit, her pain-control medication and the tight bandaging of her chest, the Los Angeles Times reported.
"Multiple postoperative factors could have played a role in the death. The exact contribution of each factor could not be determined," the coroner's office said in a statement issued Thursday.
The office also said there was no evidence West's death was caused by an error in the surgery or administration of anesthesia, the Times said.
