LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Katie Holmes wished Nicole Kidman, husband Tom Cruise's ex-wife, well regarding her recently announced pregnancy.

Kidman and Cruise adopted two children during their nearly 10-year marriage.

Kidman is now expecting her first child with second husband, country music star Keith Urban, while Holmes and Cruise are the parents of a 20-month-old daughter, Suri.

"I'm so happy for her," Holmes said when asked by People.com what she thinks of Kidman's pregnancy news. "It's wonderful."

Holmes made the remark Wednesday night at the Los Angeles premiere of her new big-screen comedy "Mad Money."

Cruise accompanied Holmes to the event, but let her walk the red carpet alone so she could enjoy the spotlight, People.com said.

While she chatted with reporters, Cruise signed autographs and took photos with fans across the street.

"Having Suri and Tom (on set) was wonderful," Holmes said. "You think you love to do something and then you have the people you love there. It makes it a billion times better and you didn't realize you were missing that before. It's like 'Oh my God, life can be this good.'"
