LONDON, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- British actress Samantha Morton -- who was nominated for Oscars for her work in "In America" and "Sweet & Lowdown" -- has given birth to her second daughter.

The baby girl, who has not yet been named, was born at an undisclosed London hospital early Jan. 4.

"It is fantastic news and both mom and baby are doing brilliantly," Morton's publicist, Karon Maskill, told People.com.

The child's father is Morton's fiance Harry Holm, who proposed to Morton on her 29th birthday in Paris in May 2006.

Morton has another daughter, Esme, from her relationship with British actor Charlie Creed-Miles, People.com said.
