LONDON, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Famed British TV host Mark Speight has been questioned by police regarding the alleged drug overdose of his fiancee, model Natasha Collins.

While the 42-year-old star of the BBC's "SMart Show" has denied having anything to do with the death of his 31-year-old fiancee, The Daily Telegraph said Saturday the TV personality was arrested following her recent death in London.

Since Collins' body was found in the couple's London apartment Thursday, Speight had been bailed out of jail and detectives had nearly ruled out homicide.

While no official cause of death had been determined, police reportedly suspected Collins died of a cocaine overdose.

Police were investigating whether Speight supplied Collins with the cocaine or any other drugs that may have contributed to her death, the British newspaper said.

Meanwhile, an unidentified friend of the model's family called the situation a terrible tragedy.

"It is just a tragic accident which the family are trying to come to terms with," the friend said. "She was a lovely girl, very beautiful, and we are all devastated."
