LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Britney Spears reportedly appeared at the Los Angeles office of her ex-husband's attorney Thursday and sat for a deposition in their child custody case.

However, the pop star was 90 minutes late for the scheduled two-hour meeting at Mark Vincent Kaplan's office and left after less than 15 minutes of questioning, People.com reported.

The troubled singer and mother of two young boys by ex-husband Kevin Federline had previously missed several appointments to sit for a deposition in the case.

Asked if he got the information he needed at Thursday's session, Kaplan replied, "In 14 minutes?"

Although he described Spears as "cooperative" during the meeting, Kaplan added, "I would've preferred it had gone on longer."

He also told People.com another deposition appointment had been set, but offered no details about the session.

The law firm of Trope & Trope Wednesday filed papers Wednesday to withdraw as Spears' counsel, but will continue to represent her at least until Feb. 4, when a hearing on its request has been set.
