'Potter' tops U.K. box office in '07

LONDON, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," the fifth installment in the boy wizard series, earned $97.5 million at the British and Irish box office in 2007.

It was the year's No. 1 film in the region, the BBC reported Thursday.

Coming in at No. 2 was "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," which earned an estimated $82.9 million.

"Shrek the Third" was No. 3, "The Simpsons Movie" was No. 4 and "Spider-Man 3" was No. 5.

"Ratatouille," "The Bourne Ultimatum," "Transformers," "Mr. Bean's Holiday"; and "Hot Fuzz" rounded out the Top 10, Screen International said.
