LOS ANGELES, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Mischa Barton reportedly admitted she smoked marijuana shortly before her arrest for drunken driving early Thursday morning.

Police also allegedly found pot in her car, as well as what investigators said looked like prescription drugs in an unlabeled bottle, TMZ.com reported, citing information from a West Hollywood police source.

The insider also said the actress registered a 0.12 on her Breathalyzer test at the time of her 3 a.m. arrest.

She had been pulled over by police in West Hollywood because she was allegedly straddling two lanes of traffic and failed to signal when making a turn.

The former star of TV's "The O.C." was arrested for driving under the influence, possession of illegal narcotics and driving without a valid license.

Barton, 21, was released from police custody after posting $10,000 bail.
