SAN DIEGO, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, New England Patriots Coach Bill Belichick and pop star Britney Spears headline a list of 2007's naughty Americans.
"This year was a truly watershed year for naughtiness," David Moye, editor of TheNaughtyAmerican.com, said in a statement. "Besides usual naughty suspects like Britney Spears or (baseball slugger) Barry Bonds, there were toe-tapping senators and diaper-wearing astronauts who practically demanded by their actions to be on the list."
Craig, Belichick and Spears secured the 1-3 slots on the 2007 Naughtiest Americans list. NFL quarterback Michael Vick was No. 4, followed by radio shock jock Don Imus at No. 5, astronaut Lisa Nowak at No. 6 and Bonds at No. 7.
Recording artists Foxy Brown, C-Murder, Clifford "T.I." Harris Jr., Da Brat, Remy Ma and Kid Rock shared the No. 8 spot, followed the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
"We celebrate naughtiness," Moye said. "Naughtiness is an inherent American trait, dating back to the founding fathers. What is naughtier than telling your king: 'Stuff it. We're starting a new country?'"
