LOS ANGELES, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Actress Valerie Bertinelli and rocker Eddie Van Halen have finalized their divorce after 25 years of marriage.
The divorce was completed Friday in Los Angeles, reported People magazine. Bertinelli, 47, and Van Halen, 52, have one son, Wolfgang, 16, who is touring with his father's band, Van Halen.
Bertinelli and Van Halen have been living apart since October 2001 and filed for divorce in December 2005. They met in 1980 when Bertinelli, who starred in TV's "One Day at a Time," went backstage after a Van Halen concert in Shreveport, La., People reported.
Bertinelli, a spokeswoman for the Jenny Craig weight loss program, is writing a memoir called "Losing It: And Gaining My Life Back One Pound at a Time."
