LOS ANGELES, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- U.S. television actress Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge, the father of the baby she is expecting, reportedly have no immediate plans to marry.

"They may or may not (get married,)" Aldridge's uncle, pastor Odus Jackson, told People.com outside Aldridge's house in Mississippi. "You just never know."

While Jackson said he is hopeful the teen couple will stay together, he admitted he realizes they are young and getting married might not be the right thing for them.

"I hope they will stick it out and get married for the child's sake and their sake," he said. "But if they're not in love and it was just a fantasy, they don't need to make the same mistake twice."

Jackson also told the magazine the media frenzy the story has caused is disrupting the family's peaceful small-town existence.

"We know that it's national news, more than just a boy-girl mess up," Jackson conceded. "(But) we're not used to media down here."

Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old sister of troubled pop singer Britney Spears, is the star of TV's "Zoey 101."
