NEW YORK, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- No plans have been made to yank the U.S. teen TV sit-com "Zoey 101" off the air even though star Jamie Lynn Spears has announced she is pregnant.

Nickelodeon officials said they intended to continue airing the cable TV show in its regular Sunday time slot, with new installments set to run into 2008, Variety.com reported Thursday.

However, the network is also said to be considering whether it should keep airing the show, in light of recent circumstances, the trade paper said.

Since the final season's episodes have been taped, Spears' pregnancy wouldn't have to be factored into the show or affect production in any way.

But it is unclear what impact the intense media attention and the reaction from her young fans and their parents to the news might have on the show's life at Nickelodeon.

Spears, 16, this week confirmed to OK! magazine that she is about 12 weeks pregnant with her first child.
