'Celebrity Apprentice' debut postponed

NEW YORK, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- The debut of the U.S. television competition show "The Celebrity Apprentice" has been postponed for a week.

The show is to begin Jan. 10, NBC said in a statement without explaining the delay.

For its seventh season, the series returns to New York as Donald Trump welcomes a celebrity lineup of candidates who will work to raise more than $1 million for various charities.

The network previously announced that Trace Adkins, Stephen Baldwin, Nadia Comaneci, Gene Simmons, Marilu Henner, Lennox Lewis, Omarosa, Vincent Pastore, Tiffany Fallon, Jennie Finch, Nely Galan, Piers Morgan and Tito Ortiz would be competing in the series.
