Chingy happy to get back where he started

ATLANTA, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Atlanta rapper Chingy said he was happy to get back to his old label for his new album.

"Hate It or Love It," the MC's fourth album, was released by fellow rapper Ludacris' Disturbing Da Peace imprint, which also put out Chingy's triple-platinum 2003 debut, "Jackpot." After an acrimonious departure, Chingy (real name Howard Bailey, Jr.), recorded two albums for another label but made up with Ludacris in late 2006.

"We just sat down and talked about things, understanding what happened, understanding what went wrong," Chingy said. "It was just a miscommunication. We put everything in the past ... and the next thing you know I'm back on Disturbing Da Peace."

The first single from "Hate It ..." is "Fly Like Me" with vocals by Amerie. Other guests on the album include Ludacris, Bobby Valentino, Rick Ross, Anthony Hamilton and Ice Cube.
