DAYTON, Ohio, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- The death of Casey Calvert, the 26-year-old guitarist for the Ohio band Hawthorne Heights, reportedly was due to a lethal combination of medications.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Washington, D.C., ruled Calvert died last month from "acute combined effects of opiate, citalopram and clonazepam intoxication," the Dayton Daily News reported Tuesday.

Calvert was discovered unresponsive Nov. 24 on the band's tour bus, which was parked outside Washington's Nightclub 9:30, the venue where the group was scheduled to play that night.

Calvert was pronounced dead at the scene.

Citalopram and clonazepam are prescription drugs frequently used to treat depression and anxiety, among other medical conditions, the Daily News said.

The autopsy report did not say what opiate was found in Calvert's system.

At the time of his death, Calvert's bandmates were adamant that he did not abuse drugs or alcohol.
