Federline lawyer: Stop Britney no-shows

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Kevin Federline's lawyer says he plans to seek "some kind of remedy" against Britney Spears for repeatedly failing to show for a Los Angeles deposition.

Spears' appointment Wednesday at the law office of Mark Vincent Kaplan was the fourth deposition appointment she has missed in her custody fight with Federline, her ex-husband, over their two children, People reported Saturday.

Spears' lawyer said a medical condition kept her from appearing Wednesday, though she was seen out and about in Los Angeles later that day and night, People reported.

"It's not fourth grade where you get a doctor's note and it's all OK. She was ordered to attend," Kaplan said Friday.

Spears, 26, is fighting Federline, 29, over custody of sons Preston, 2 and Jayden, 1. Federline has primary physical custody, while Spears has supervised visitation. Questions in the deposition hearing likely would focus on Spears' parental fitness, People reported.
