"I was told of a general (medical) condition, and (Spears) felt she couldn't attend," Vincent Kaplan' title='Mark Vincent Kaplan' class='tpstyle'>Mark Vincent Kaplan, an attorney for Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline reportedly said outside his Los Angeles office.
TMZ.com said a source said Spears couldn't make it to court because: "There's a million people outside of her house. She can see all the other madness. The anxiety is making her sick. It's just too crazy."
People.com said Kaplan indicated he will pursue a court sanction against Spears for failing to show up for the deposition in her custody battle with Federline over their two toddler sons.
Federline has primary physical custody of the boys, while Spears is allowed only limited supervised visits.
Her testimony for the deposition is not expected to last more than a day, People.com noted.
