LONDON, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Singer Amy Winehouse had an emotional outburst after learning she missed visiting hours at the London jail where her husband Blake Fielder-Civil is being held.
"They didn't let her in because she was too late for visiting hours," a source told Us Weekly. "She begged and pleaded with wardens at the prison, but they weren't having any of it. The rules are the rules -- if you're late, then you're not going to get in. Visitors have to arrive before lunch is served. Clearly Amy didn't drag herself out of bed in time."
A prison spokesperson declined to comment on the situation, the magazine said.
Fielder-Civil is accused of perverting the course of justice by offering alleged victim James King payment to withdraw his claim that Fielder-Civil assaulted him, and leave the country.
